FAQ
What is the difference between an Indie Film and a Foreign Language Film?
An independent film is usually made by a single filmmaker who makes his or her own decisions about everything.
The opposite is true for foreign language films. They are usually produced by a larger production company.
They often hire writers and actors from other nations.
Professional translators are also available to ensure that the dialogue sounds natural.
Is Hollywood more important than Bollywood?
Producing a movie that is well-received by the public is the biggest challenge for film producers.
Problem is that many movies are competing for people's money and time. The problem is that you will not be seen if you aren't different from the rest.
But what makes a movie popular? What makes an actor a star? Or a director? It's not just talent - it's also luck. It doesn't matter if your actors are the best in the world. But a poor script will make you lose everything.
When it comes to movies, there are two main types. There are big-budget blockbusters as well as small independent productions. Production and distribution of blockbuster movies costs hundreds of millions. These blockbuster movies are usually produced by big studios who want their movies to reach as broad an audience as possible. However, these films with big budgets appeal mostly to older viewers.
Independent films can be smaller productions funded by individuals or groups. These films usually target specific markets and appeal to specific tastes. These films are usually easier to market and produce. This doesn't necessarily mean they are cheaper to watch. In fact, most indie films are very hard to find.
The question is whether we need both types. Do we need blockbuster movies, or smaller independent films? Hollywood is more important than Bollywood. Hollywood produces nearly twice as many movies annually as India.

Not all of them will be undiscovered. Some of them have been selected for distribution via Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu Plus, iTunes, Google Play, etc.
