The Dumbest Celebrity Twitters

leah remini

You may have seen some of your most embarrassing celebrity tweets. You've probably seen Chris Brown's Twitter spat with Teyana Tayor or Ryan Lochte's tweet about his Microsoft Surface. These tweets may not be intelligent but they are funny. Take a look at these examples of celebrity tweets and you'll be amazed at how dumb they are.

Drunk tweets

Drunken tweeting has become a high-wire act. Anna Kendrick admitted that she mixed Twitter and alcohol to ensure her tweets were on point. While celebrities often wait until the morning in order to double-check drunken tweets they send, some celebrities have hired a PR firm so that they can take control of their accounts. Meanwhile, Adele reportedly consulted two editors before sending her drunk tweets.

The authors found eight themes among drinking-related Tweets: the alcoholic celebrity, the celebrity with a drinking problem, music about drinking, sex, and attraction, and the use of other substances. It was surprising that the most popular theme among these Tweets was alcohol. While the study is restricted to tweets about alcohol only, it does shed light on the importance social media plays in our daily lives.

Unintelligent tweets

Below is a list of some of the most absurd and stupid tweets by some of Hollywood's biggest stars. This is by no means a comprehensive list, but the ones listed below were selected based on a few factors. Although Russell Crowe is not on this list and Sylvester Stallone, Sylvester Stallone, Jennifer Lawrence, and Tom Cruise aren't, their tweets still contain hilarious moments.

Chris Brown's tweet beef with Teyana Taylor

Although they have been enemies for years, Rihanna recently tweeted about Teyana’s tomboy look. The singer seems to have taken offense at Teyana’s comments. She then started a Twitter row with Rihanna. Teyana has remained silent, even though Rihanna’s publicist became involved. While she might have been the victim of Rihanna’s vitriole, her fans believe otherwise.

Rihanna didn't respond to Rihanna’s tweet. She has been busy promoting her fall collection with MAC Cosmetics. Rihanna has already been harshly criticised for her inexplicable tweets. While Rihanna may not have been the victim of Teyana’s insults, she has been standing up for Chris Brown through her own actions.

Ryan Lochte's tweet on his Microsoft Surface

Ryan Lochte had a Twitter experience that was very different from before the 2012 Olympics. The swimmer had taken on the "sexy" persona he had become famous for by playing himself on 30 Rock. He tweeted about his Microsoft Surface and promised to release a brand new song if he got one hundred thousand retweets. This was a disappointing turn of affairs, both for fans and critics. The Olympic swimmer was also accused of devaluing his reputation by using a piece of equipment that is not even his.

Mark Adams, the IOC director for communications, denied that Lochte's tweet regarding his Microsoft Surface led to his teammate being arrested. Lochte's tweet regarding the incident that allegedly robbed him from his Microsoft Surface should be deleted. Bentz provided a statement through University of Georgia which supports the new version of what occurred. Bentz claims that four men were ordered to sit down on the curb by security guards with guns demanding they pay for the stolen Surfaces. Lochte was not in any harm and cooperates fully with authorities.

FAQ

How many films does Hollywood make in a given year?

Each year, Hollywood studios produce approximately 3,000 films. That's right, 3000!

These films are marketed by Hollywood, which spends billions of dollars. They spend millions producing them. They also spend millions promoting them. How many of these movies do you think end up in theaters?

It's probably between 200-300. The question is, what happens to all the other 2,700+ films? Many of the films are either directly-to-video released or left to collect dust in storage vaults.

Some of them may not be seen. Some of these have been selected to be distributed via Netflix, Amazon Prime or Hulu Plus.

So why don't we see more of them? They're not available in theaters. They're too costly to produce.

They'd also be cheaper to produce and released in theaters.

That's where I come in. I'll help you find the best way for your film to be released in theaters.

I will teach you how to increase your return on investment (ROI), as well as increasing your chances of seeing the movie in theaters.

Let's face the facts...

Getting your film into theaters can be quite difficult. The process is complex, lengthy and involves many legalities.

It could also be costly before you even start.

The time frame in which your film can be distributed is also very limited.

There simply isn't enough time between when a film is finished, and its theatrical run begins.

Why aren't more filmmakers using crowdfunding sites like Indiegogo and Kickstarter?

Crowdfunding websites are great because you can reach potential investors directly.

Many filmmakers aren't qualified to ask money. They believe they need another person to verify their claims.

Because they are still in their infancy, they do not believe that anyone should invest.

Instead, they spend months working on their project, hoping someone will eventually notice.

Then, once they finally launch their campaign, they realize they didn't prepare properly.

Instead of receiving thousands upon thousands of dollars, the recipients end up with a handful donations.

How many theaters am I required to make my investment return?

It depends on how long you plan to run your theatrical release.

You will only need one theater to show your film if you plan to run it for less that two weeks.

If your film is going to be screened for more then two weeks, you will need two theaters.

What is the annual salary of Hollywood?

It costs about $100 million to make an average movie. You could make ten movies a month for a decade and still have enough money left to buy a small nation.

You could own an island with an airfield, power plant and bank.

If this doesn't sound fun, you are insane.

How much does it cost for a feature movie to be distributed?

A distribution deal can cost anywhere from $100,000 to $150,000.

Theaters typically cost around $10,000.

The average screen price is approximately $5,000

The distribution fee is approximately $500,000. If you have 100 screens then that would mean your cost to distribute the screen(s) is around $500,000.

Distribution fees are $50,000 for 10 screens.
